Alcatel Idol 4 With VR Headset Release Date in India: December 8th

Alcatel Idol 4, a device which was unveiled initially during the MWC 2016, is all set to release in India this week. Alcatel has reportedly started sending out press invites to the launch event scheduled for December 8th in New Delhi. The company is also expected to launch its VR headset during the event. Last month, Alcatel unveiled its VR-enabled Idol 4S running Windows 10 operating system. In September, the company launched the Alcatel PIXI 4 (5) in India which comes at a price of Rs 5,499.

To begin with, the Alcatel Idol 4 a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LCD screen featuring 424 PPI Pixel Density and Oleophobic Coating. The smartphone comes powered with a 1.5GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 chipset. Assisting the processor are Adreno 405 for graphics and 2GB RAM for multitasking. It also embraces 16GB of internal memory which you can expand up to 512GB using microSD card.

Talking about the camera, the Alcatel Idol 4 houses 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus along with a dual-tone flash and f/2.0 aperture. The camera interface is also mated with a set of modes and features such as manual mode, panorama, HDR image capture, slow motion, video stabilization, etc. There is also an 8-megapixel secondary camera with flash and a real-time face beautification for selfies.

The Dual-SIM Alcatel Idol 4 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Under the hood, it keeps up with a 2610 mAh battery. Further, connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, microUSB 2.0, and 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone is priced at $199 (approximately Rs 13,699).
