Smartphone maker Asus is all set to launch the Zenfone 3 series of smartphones in India. The manufacturer has sent out press invites for the event which will be held in Delhi. The Zenfone 3 series currently has the following phones namely the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra and the Zenfone 3 Deluxe.
The Zenfone 3 is the successor to the Zenfone 2 which was the first smartphone to have 4GB of RAM onboard. Asus chose to create a series for the new phone giving it different hardware to target a wider set of audience. The Zenfone 3 has a 5.5-inch FullHD display and a Snapdragon 625 processor and 3GB of RAM, the Zenfone 3 Ultra has a 6.8-inch FullHD display with 4GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 652 processor. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe which is the flagship device sports a 5.7-inch FullHD and is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chip.
There camera hardware and battery capacities are different for each of the above devices. The metal build on all these smartphones is a first for Asus. The Zenfone 2 Deluxe just had a designer back to differentiate it from the regular Zenfone. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe is thankfully more than just a cosmetic upgrade to the Zenfone 3. Asus has been updating its line-up in India and these three smartphones will be crucial for the brand. It’ll be interesting to see how they are priced in India.
