A new upcoming Asus phone, which goes by the model name Asus X00GD, has spotted online with the limited set of specifications. Asus X00GB, according to the benchmark listing runs, Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The device is also listed on Chinese certification website TENAA.
If specifications revealed on GFXbench are true, Asus X00GD sports a 5.2 display with 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution. It’s a multi-touch display, featuring at least 5 finger gesture support. It’s powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor paired with Mali-T860 GPU for graphics.
Asus X00GD packs in 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory under the hood. However, the listing doesn’t mention anything about the possible storage expandability. It houses a 13MP rear auto focus camera with LED flash. The camera can support up to 4K video recording. It also carries an 8MP secondary camera up front for selfies.
Asus recently released a teaser of its pre-CES Zennovation event to be held in Las Vegas on January 4. The company is expected to unveil two new smartphones under its Zenfone lineup. Asus may launch Zenfone AR with Google Tango, which is ensured to be unveiled during the event.
The company may also come up with unconfirmed Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom, which recently appeared on TENAA as Asus Z01HDA. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a 2.5D glass on top. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs in a massive 4980mAh battery.
