Asus Zenfone 3 Max Launched In India, Price Starts At Rs 12,999

Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus today launched the Zenfone 3 Max in India. In fact, there was an event scheduled in the country’s capital this afternoon where Asus took the wraps off the new Zenfone 3 Max. Since last week, we were sure that the company is gearing up to expand its Zenfone Max lineup in the Indian market. To recall, Asus’ Zenfone Max series is best known for phones with massive batteries that can also act as a full-fledged power bank.

It’s worth noting that Asus has launched this phone in two variants — ZC520TL and ZC553KL. The Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL) sports a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display. Powering this variant is a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit processor combined with Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. It carries a 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage which is expandable via microSD card. There is also a 13-megapixel rear snapper and LED flash mated with a 5-megapixel front shooter.

On the other hand, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It is also covered by 2.5D curved glass. This variant is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4GHz and Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. It has 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. It houses a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. It also offers an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for all the selfie lovers out there.

The Dual-SIM Asus Zenfone 3 Max runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Zen UI 3.0 on top. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the rear which below the camera module. Connectivity options on this phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It packs in a massive 4100mAh battery which is not removable.

Available in Titanium Gray, Sand Gold, and Glacier Silver colour options, the Asus Zenfone 3 costs Rs 12,999 for base variant and Rs 17,999 for a high-end variant. While the base variant is already available across major online and offline retailers starting today, the high-end variant will go on sale by the end of November.
