Asus recently unveiled the ZenFone Zoom and company’s first Tango phone ZenFone AR at CES 2017. However, the company didn’t say any word about the pricing of these phones at the event except for the ZenFone 3 Zoom 128GB storage variant. The pricing of this variant is revealed in China as CNY 3,699 (Rs 36,400).
The ZenFone 3 Zoom is the successor of ZenFone Zoom which was launched two years ago in January 2015. As the name suggests, camera is the major highlight of this phone. It features a dual rear camera setup comprising two 12MP sensors – one with 25mm wide-angle lens and other with 59mm lens. It also features a SuperPixel camera technology which enables it to focus quickly and capture clear photos in low-light conditions. Asus claims the ZenFone 3 Zoom to have 2.5x greater light sensitivity than iPhone 7 Plus and 10x better than average smartphones. On the front, it features a 13-megapixel camera for capturing selfies.
Coming on to the specs, the Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom sports 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and packs in a massive 5,000mAh battery which company claims to provide 42 days of standby time. It is also being said to provide 6.5 hours of continuous 4k UHD video playback on a single charge.
