Zen Mobiles has launched a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as the Admire Unity which is targeted for first-time smartphone users. The company is known to make cost-friendly phones and the Admire Unity is no different. Let’s have a closer look at what the phone has to offer.
Design and Display
In terms of design, the smartphone feels solid comprising of a plastic build. Being an entry-level phone, it lacks a fingerprint sensor. Up front, it is fitted with a 5-inch FWVGA display below which are three capacitive keys. The back of the phone houses its primary camera module, LED flash and speaker grill at the bottom.
Performance and Storage
Underneath its hood, the smartphone is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The phone also packs 1GB of RAM for multitasking purposes. In terms of memory, the device is offered with 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB externally through a microSD card. Out of the box, the phone will run Android 7.0 Nougat. There is no word on if this phone will receive an update to Android Oreo, and it may be unlikely for that to happen anyway.
Camera and Battery
The primary camera on the rear comprises of a 5-megapixel sensor accompanied by LED flash and autofocus. Up front, the company has also provided a 2-megapixel selfie camera which also doubles up for video calling purposes. The phone draws its power from a 2,300mAh battery located under its body.
Connectivity and Features
On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers support for 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi along with a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. The smartphone complies with the ‘Make in India’ initiative and comes loaded with applications such as Amazon Prime Video, Go2Pay and Chillx. The phone also comes preloaded with a few trial games such as Bubble Bash 3, and Motocross: Trial Extreme. The phone will set you back Rs. 5,099 and will be available starting tomorrow.
