Gionee is all set to launch a new smartphone dubbed as Gionee P8 Max. The company teased an image of the phone on its official Twitter handle with a tagline, “New year. New ONE! #GioneeP8Max”.
As the name of phone suggests the P8 Max is said to be the successor of the Gionee P7 Max which was launched last year for Rs 13,999. The company hasn’t revealed anything about the phone, except for the image.
Looking at the image, the Gionee P8 Max sports a metal unibody design with capacitive touch buttons on the front. The phone has volume rockers and power button on the right side with the power button being positioned above the volume rockers. However, it is disappointing to see that the phone lacks a fingerprint scanner. Talking about the specs, as there is no confirmation yet, but we’re expecting it to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a big battery (more than 3,000mAh). It is said to run on Android Marshmallow and comes with at least 3GB of RAM.
To recall about its predecessor, the Gionee P7 Max sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo 3.2 UI on top of it. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6595 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. It is a dual SIM phone and also supports 4G VoLTE.
