As expected, HTC Desire 10 Pro has finally been introduced in India. The company had a launch event scheduled in New Delhi this afternoon where it officially launched this phone in the country. Design-wise, there’s nothing much to differentiate between the HTC Desire 10 Pro and the earlier Desire 10 Lifestyle which was launched in September. However, it has a rounded fingerprint scanner on the back, unlike the Desire 10 Lifestyle.
Talking about the specifications, the HTC Desire 10 pro runs a 1.8GHz octa-core (eight cores) MediaTek Helio P10 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The storage, however, is expandable up to 2TB with the help of microSD card. On the front, one gets a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It’s a dual-SIM phone which runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
The HTC Desire 10 pro comes with a 20-megapixel laser autofocus rear snapper mated with a dual-tone LED flash. The camera comes supported by various modes such as panorama, continuous shooting, face beauty, and more. If you are selfie enthusiast, it’s worth noting that it also houses a 13-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The HTC Desire 10 pro features a standard set of connectivity options i.e. 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and microUSB 2.0. At last, it packs in a 3000mAh battery. The phone comes in Stone Black, Polar White, and Royal Blue colour variants at the price of Rs 26,490 in India. It will go on sale in India starting December 15th.
One more device, the HTC 10 evo launched during the event. It’s the HTC Bolt which is limited to the U.S. market. The HTC 10 evo flaunts a 5.5-inch Quad HD display (2560 x 1440 pixels resolution) with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Powering this phone is a 2GHz Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It features a 32GB internal storage which is expandable further up to 2TB via microSD card. Unlike the Desire 10 pro, the HTC 10 evo runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the-box.
The HTC 10 evo is IP57-certified water resistant. It houses a 16-megapixel primary camera on the back as well as an 8-megapixel selfie camera. This phone also delivers a fingerprint scanner which is embedded on the home button. Finally, there is a 3200mAh battery running inside which is non-removable. The price details will be revealed by the end of December when it will officially go on sale.
