Huawei is all set to launch the Honor 8 in an event scheduled on October 12th in India. The company will announce the price and availability details during this event. Last week, the company had showcased the Honor 8 at an event in Goa. We were expecting Huawei to launch the phone during the same event.
The Huawei Honor 8 sports a 5.2-inch LTPS display 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 423 PPI pixel density. What powers the gadget is a 2.3GHz Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 950 octa-core processor and Mali-T880 GPU. It features 4GB of RAM and has two storage options — 32GB and 64GB. The storage can further be extended up to 256GB via microSD card.
The Huawei Honor 8 has 12-meagpixel dual camera sensors on the back with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus, and dual-tone LED flash. It can record videos up to 1080p at 60 frames per second (FPS). It also houses an 8-megapixel front shooter for all the selfie lovers out there. The phone is crafted using a premium looking metal glass sandwich design.
This is a Dual-SIM device, which packs in a 3000mAh non-removable battery. It runs Emotion UI 4.1 on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. In terms of connectivity, the Huawei Honor 8 supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Infrared, OTG, and USB Type-C. It also has a fingerprint scanner on the back, which can be used to unlock the phone and authenticate wireless payments.
