Let’s have a closer look at what the smartphone has to offer that makes it stand apart from its competition:
On the design front, the device sports a robust metallic build that is sturdy and feels great to hold. On the back is where the fingerprint sensor is located which shares real estate with its primary 13-megapixel camera. On the front is its 5.5-inch Full HD display with three capacitive lit keys on the bottom. Above the screen is its 5-megapixel f/2.0 selfie camera which takes decent selfies with some additional software tricks.
On the performance front, Xiaomi has gone with the Snapdragon 625 SoC built by Qualcomm for the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 4 which is a powerful yet power efficient processor. Speaking of power, the phone packs in a whopping 4000mAh battery pack when coupled with its efficient processor can easily get you up to 2 days of usage on a single charge.
As far as software goes, the phone was launched with MIUI 8 built over Android Marshmallow and has since received multiple software updates making its user interface more feature-rich and smooth. As of late, the phone has received the latest MIUI 9 update built over Android Nougat.
The phone is currently priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB/32GB storage variant and the 4GB/64GB variant. The company may be looking to diversify its price range with this move, considering the Mi A1 priced at close proximity. Also, this could hint at a new Note Series device around the bend.
