Apple‘s newest iPad has finally made its way to India. To recall, it was initially unveiled globally last month. The latest iPad replaces its predecessor iPad Air 2 and the company is calling it just “iPad”. Yes, you read it right. Apple is calling the latest iPad (2017) just an iPad. That’s sweet but I hope they won’t start counting from zero again.
The new iPad comes with two different storage variants (32GB & 128GB) and each variant further comes in two different Wi-Fi and cellular models. On Flipkart, the 32GB Wi-Fi model is available for pre-order priced at Rs 28,900. Another model with 32GB Wi-Fi + cellular model is also listed with a price of Rs 39,900 but is not on pre-order for now.
Similar to iPhone 6s lineup, the latest iPad is also equipped with A9 chipset. The company is also claiming to replace the LCD panel with a more brighter one with this iPad.
“iPad is the world’s most popular tablet. Customers love the large, 9.7-inch display for everything from watching TV and movies, to surfing the Web, making FaceTime calls, and enjoying photos, and now it is even more affordable. New customers and anyone looking to upgrade will love this new iPad for use at home, in school, and for work, with its gorgeous Retina display, our powerful A9 chip, and access to the more than 1.3 million apps designed specifically for it,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing.
