Many Indian Tech and e-commerce companies have already started reinforcing their brand and sales strategies ahead of this year’s busy festive season. The latest on the list, Lava International has introduced a new offer, allowing its customers avail a one-time screen replacement on all Lava smartphones and feature phones. However, it is worth noting that the offer is restricted to only those who purchase Lava phones between September 15 and October 15, 2016.
While it may be a good news for those who generally buy new phones during the festive season, existing Lava users with phones purchased before September 15 may find this a bit disappointing since they cannot avail this offer. Lava explains that the screen replacement is applicable only within 365 days of the purchase made during the said period. However, the Bond series comes with an exception of 6 months instead of one year.
In case the screen has to be replaced, customers need to walk-in to any authorized Lava service center with original purchase proof, identity proof, and contact number. Customers also need to pay labor charges that will cost INR 250 on smartphones and INR 150 on feature phones. According to Lava, there are over 1,25,000 retailers and 950 service centers in the country, spread across the remote parts like Leh as well as Andaman & Nicobar Island.
For the year 2015-16, Lava recorded a revenue of INR 7626 Cr with 23% of growth as compared to the year 2014-15. The company is building a mobile phone design roadmap in addition to India’s first mobile phone design center by the end of 2017.
