Xiaomi’s long-rumoured Mi 5c is in the news for quite some time, thanks to numerous leaks. Earlier, the phone was listed on a couple of benchmarking websites like Geekbench and AnTuTu with limited specifications. The latest rumours suggest that this phone may arrive in China as soon as next week, on November 30th.
Recently, its spec sheet was leaked in China suggesting that the phone may sport a 5.5-inch screen with narrow bezels. If it is to be believed, the Xiaomi Mi 5c is then powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. The phone offers 64GB and supports Near Field Communication (NFC).
Other leaked specifications include details on its camera offerings. It houses a 12-megapixel primary camera on the back which is paired with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with MIUI 8.0 on top.
Earlier speculations hinted that the phone will be a powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor and 3GB RAM, which makes sense considering that it falls in a mid-range segment. It may also pack in a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. The display may also be covered by a 2.5D curved glass.
Another Chinese player Coolpad is also coming up two new phones in India on November 30th.
