Lenovo P2 With 5100mAh Battery Release Date In India: January 11

Chinese cell phone maker Lenovo is all set to launch a new phone dubbed Lenovo P2, the company’s latest offering in ‘P series.’ Lenovo India is now rolling out press invites to an event to be held in New Delhi on January 11. Last week, the company’s India unit released a teaser on social media indicating the arrival of Lenovo P2. It has also been confirmed already that the device will be available to purchase exclusively from Flipkart.

The biggest attraction, Lenovo P2 packs in a massive 5100mAh battery with fast charging, something Lenovo seem to be boasting about. Talking about other specifications, it sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen featuring 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip clocked at 2GHz. It comes in two variants — 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The memory, however, supports further expansion by means of a microSD card support.

Lenovo P2 is a Dual-SIM phone which runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. In terms of optics, it houses a 13MP primary camera on the back with dual-tone LED flash. Up front, it features a 5MP secondary camera for taking selfies. One also gets a fingerprint on the front, which then doubles up as the home button. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth GPS, and NFC.

Looking at the aforementioned details, Lenovo P2 will compete with Motorola Z Play having pretty much the same set of specifications.
