LG G6, the company’s current flagship smartphone, is all set to launch in India next week, reportedly on April 24th. However, according to a Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the LG G6 could be priced at Rs 51,990. The device is already up for pre-booking on LG’s website and might go on sale starting April 29th.
Specs-wise, the LG’s flagship G6 packs a 5.7-inch 18:9 Quad HD+ FullVision display with 564 PPI pixel density. The display apparently seems sleek and ideal for one-handed use. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip and 4GB of RAM. It comes in two storage options: 32GB and 64GB (expandable up to 2TB via microSD).
Camera-wise, it houses 13-megapixel dual rear cameras with optical image stabilisation. Up front is a 5-megapixel wide-angle secondary camera for selfies. For selfies, it offers a couple of modes such as Gesture Shot and Auto Shot. The gesture shot helps taking selfies simply with a gesture. The auto shot, on the other hand, is all about capturing photos once a face is detected.
Design-wise, the LG G6 is made of aluminium and glass that comes in platinum and black colours. It measures 148.9 mm in height, 71.9 in width, 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 163g. The LG G6, like any other flagship smartphone these days, come with the IP68 rating to protect itself against dust and water. This way, it can be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
Software-wise, the LG G6 runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and Google Assistant out of the box. It has a fingerprint scanner and 3,300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. Connectivity-wise, it supports 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and USB Type-C.
