At an event held in New Delhi, LG has launched the K10 (2017) in India. The phone was first unveiled at CES 2017 at the start of this year and finally made its way through India. It is the successor of the LG K10(2016) launched last year. The device is ‘Made In India’ and it was launched by the Ravi Shankar Prasad (Telecom and IT minister).
It gets an all-metal unibody design with a thickness of just 7.4mm. The phone also sports a fingerprint scanner on the back panel located right beneath the primary camera. Talking about camera, the LG K10 (2017) features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, it flaunts a 5-megapixel selfie camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens.
Talking about the specifications, the LG K10 (2017) sports a 5.3-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The phone gets 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 2TB with a MicroSD card.
It is a dual SIM phone and gets 4G VoLTE support. The device packs in a 2800mAh and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat right out-of-the-box. It features all the standard connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone also gets India-specific SOS emergency calling feature which can be evoked by pressing the power button for three consecutive times.
The LG K10 (2017) comes in three colors – Black, Titanium and Gold and is priced at Rs. 13,990. The phone also comes with free smart cover and unlimited audio and video downloads with Hungama app for 45 days.
