Chinese smartphone maker Meizu has announced a new phone in China dubbed Meizu M5 Note. The company, with this announcement, has further expanded its Note lineup. The Meizu M5 Note flaunts a full metal unibody design and comes in Blue, Silver, Gray, Champagne Gold colour options, as seen in the picture.
Specifications wise, the Meizu M5 Note sports 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display featuring 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor clocked at 1.8GHz along with Mali-T860 GPU for graphics.
The smartphone comes in three memory options: 3GB RAM + 16GB memory, 3GB RAM + 32GB memory, and 4GB RAM + 64GB memory. The storage, however, supports further expansion up to 128GB by means of a memory card slot.
The Meizu M5 Note is a Dual-SIM device (nano, nano + microSD) which packs in a 4000mAh battery. It is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Flyme OS 6.0 on top.
It houses a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back with dual-tone LED flash, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), and f/2.2 aperture. It also has a 5-megapixel secondary camera on the front for all the selfie lovers out there.
There a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button which according to the company unlocks the device in merely 0.2 seconds. As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the device supports 4G voLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
The Meizu M5 Note costs 899 yuan (approximately Rs 8,999 ), 999 yuan (approximately Rs 9,999), and 1499 yuan (approximately Rs 14,999) for 3GB RAM + 16GB storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage respectively.

Meizu Band features OLED display & heart rate sensor
Meizu, during the same event, also announced its first fitness band dubbed the Meizu Band. It features an OLED screen which is capable of tracking your fitness data i.e. distance traveled, the number of steps taken, and calories burnt. It can also keep track of your sleep and monitor your heart beats.
The Meizu fitness band can work Android and iOS devices using Bluetooth Le app. The device is IP67 certified water and dust resistant. Available in only black colour option, the Meizu Band costs 229 yuan (approximately Rs 2,299). However, those purchasing the Note 5 can get it for 199 yuan (approximately Rs 1,999).
The Meizu Band will be available for pre-order in China starting today and the actual sale will begin starting December 8th.
