After flirting with the affordable convertible segment, with their Canvas Laptabs, looks like Micromax is taking the budget laptop segment as their next challenge. Having already broken into the top 10 of the biggest brands when it comes to manufacturing phones by volume, Micromax is now looking at alternative devices to expand its portfolio. The company has announced a new budget laptop, called the Micromax Neo, which is aimed at young professionals and students primarily.
The Micromax Neo will be exclusively available on Amazon ad will set you back Rs 17,990. On the specifications front, the laptop comes with a 14 inch 1366×768 display Intel Pentium Quad-core N3700 chipset with 4GB of RAM. In terms of ports that are available on the machine, you have 3 USB ports, with two of them being USB 2.0 and one being a USB 3.0. There is also an RJ 45 jack and twin set of speakers alongside an HDMI port. Micromax has given a judicious 500GB of hard disk with the laptop. There is a front facing camera of 1MP to help you get along and conduct your video calls from the machine. The battery included is 4800 mAh. Largely the laptop is built completely out of plastic, but could prove to be a tasty option for those who are looking for a machine under Rs 20,000 mark, especially as it comes with Windows 10 out of the box. The laptop is available only in black colour and weighs about 1.5kg. The laptop is already on sale on Amazon with the delivery promised for Sunday.
