Micromax recently unveiled the Canvas Mega 2 Plus Q426+ in India, Mumbai-based retailer confirms. Priced at Rs 7,499, it boasts of some specs-level improvements over the earlier Canvas Mega 2 Q426. The phone is available to purchase through offline stores and might go on sale via online retailers soon.
The front comprises a huge 6-inch qHD (960 x 540) IPS display, resulting in 184 PPI pixel density. This cannot be called an improvement, Micromax. In fact, the previous Canvas Mega 2 Q426 also had a similar 6-inch qHD screen to offer. The sad part, it also lacks a fingerprint scanner which has become a norm these days.
Furthermore, the Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus Q426+ packs a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB built-in storage under the hood. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, the dual-SIM phone houses an 8MP autofocus rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
The battery is rated at 3000mAh non-removable battery whereas the connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. As far as specs are concerned, this phone is certainly overpriced given that better options like LYF Water 7S and Swipe Elite Sense are available out there.
