Just a day before HTC’s ‘U’ event where it’s going to unveil its all new U series smartphone, here comes another leak. The latest leak involves some images, as well as some specs, claim coming from the Chinese social networking website – Weibo.
These images show a secondary display on the phone located above the main screen and next to the front facing camera, submerged into the top bezel. In some images, the main display appears to be off whereas the secondary display is in “always on” mode which shows the notifications including date and time info.
LG has already used this secondary display in its last year’s flagship device V20, and it seems like HTC is now following the footsteps of LG. Also, new images show the device featuring a conventional single lens camera at the back which was earlier claimed as dual rear camera setup. In new images, the device also lacks a fingerprint scanner located at the back. If these images are to believe, the phone is said to come in black, white, blue and a rose gold colour.
The company has also unveiled a new teaser video for the ‘U’ event. Like the press invite for the event, the company highly emphasises on the letter ‘U’ throughout the video. So far, it is not yet confirmed whether the company is launching HTC U Ultra along with U Play, or whether these phones will be button-less as shown earlier in a concept video. So, let’s wait and watch.
