The highly speculated Nokia 5 was launched in India on June 13 and it remained under the pre-order status for over a month. The wait to get yourself one is finally over as the device is to go on sale starting today(15 August 2017). The offering from Nokia will exclusively be available offline only through select retail stores. The Nokia 5 was launched together with the Nokia 3 and Nokia 6. The Nokia 5 was, however, the most eagerly awaited for device from the lot. The smartphone is the mid-range in the newly launched series and comes with an attractive price tag of Rs. 12,899. Not only that but Vodafone customers who are looking to switch their device for a Nokia 5 can avail up to 5GB of data per month at Rs. 149 per month for up to 3 months. In terms of specifications, the Nokia 5 features an octa core Snapdragon 430 processor. It will come in a variant having 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage which can be expandable to 128GB through microSD. For the shutterbugs, the smartphone packs a 13-megapixel camera on the rear along with a flashlight together with an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front. In the battery department, the offering from Nokia features a 3000 mAh non-removable unit that should get you through a day’s use with ease.
Regarding the software, which is an all new for Nokia, the device will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat in its stock form with very little to no additional apps installed.
