Nokia To Launch 4 New Phones This Year: Reports

Nokia, a brand that holds strong nostalgic reverence in the minds of customers is working hard to reignite its lost charm. As per some reports, the company is all set to launch four new smartphones before the year ends. These smartphones will range from entry-level models to flagship ones. Let’s take a look at all of these upcoming Nokia smartphones.

Nokia 2

The lowest priced model will be the Nokia 2, it will be an entry-level smartphone and might be priced well below Rs. 10,000. Reportedly, the phone may come in two variants. One with Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 and the other with a Mediatek processor. So, the phone variant might differ depending upon the region you reside in.

Nokia 7

Second in the line is the Nokia 7, a mid-range smartphone with all the necessary essentials you would expect from a phone in this price segment. It is being said that the Nokia 7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 630. Standing true to the rumours, this phone may come with a single rear-facing camera instead of two. The Nokia 7 might be priced somewhere between Rs. 15,000 – 20,000.

Nokia 8

A notch above the Nokia 7 will be the Nokia 8, it will be in the price segment of around Rs. 30,000. The major highlight of this new phone is that it will possess a dual-camera setup. The phone will also have a near bezel-less display and come with an all new design. We recently wrote about the poster leak of the Nokia 8 which revealed some integral details about the phone. It might come with the Snapdragon 660 SoC, 6GB of RAM and a stunning 2K display. Co-incidentally, the Xiaomi X1 also has a similar combination of Snapdragon 660 and a dual-camera setup.

Nokia 9

Finally, the Nokia 9 is supposed to be the brand’s flagship launch this year. It will pack high-end specifications and possibly come with all the major features. A top of the line Snapdragon 835 SoC will power the phone. It is also likely that the Nokia 9 will pack a Quad HD display. It won’t miss out on dual cameras either, two 13MP sensors will ensure that the pictures are as good as you would expect them to be.

It will be exciting to see Nokia re-establish its brand, especially in a country like India where a lot of people still root for it. Let’s wait for these four phones to be launched to see whether the company manages to pull off a successful comeback in India.
