ZTE’s nubia is reportedly gearing up to launch a new phone — allegedly nubia Z17 mini — next week. The company has a press event scheduled for April 6. nubia recently published a teaser revealing that its upcoming handset will carry a dual-camera setup at the rear, similar to the nubia M2. Design-wise, the nubia Z17 mini will also boast of a unibody metal design and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
As far as specs are concerned, the nubia Z17 mini is expected with a 5.2-inch Full HD screen, octa-core Snapdragon 652/653 SoC, and Adreno 510 GPU. Internally, 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage are ideal to be on par with the rest of the hardware specs. Unfortunately, the possibility of Android 7.0 Nougat running out of the box is vague. Hence, it is likely to be based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with nubia UI 4.0 on top.
In terms of photography, we are expecting the nubia Z17 mini to house 13MP dual rear cameras with LED flash and 16MP selfie camera. It might also pack a 2930mAh battery with support for fast charging. In other news, two new nubia-branded handsets — NX569H and NX 569J — recently cleared certification in China.
Recently, nubia Z11 miniS featuring 23MP rear camera launched in India at the price of Rs 16,999.
