Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched its first ever offline exclusive smartphone, Redmi 3S Plus in India. This launch seems to be perfect for the company to embark its presence in India’s offline retail market. Available in Silver, Gold, and Grey color variants, the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus is priced at Rs 9499.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus has a 5-inch display featuring 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The device also comes equipped with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. It features Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top. There is also a fingerprint scanner situated right below the rear camera
The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus packs in a 4100mAh non-removable battery. The phone comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can also be expanded up to 128GB with the help of microSD card. As far as the connectivity is concerned, it supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared, GPS, FM radio, and microUSB 2.0
Talking about the camera offerings, the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus houses a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back with LED flash. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Looks wise, the Redmi 3S Plus is pretty similar to the Redmi 3S Prime which was launched in August 2016. Both the Xiaomi phones have almost everything in common except the RAM and costing.
The device will be available offline across major retailers and Zopo distributors including Poorvika, Sangeetha, BIG C, LOT mobiles, Redington, Innocomm, and Just Buy Live. For those who generally avoid buying phones online, Xiaomi may turn out to be an additional option for offline purchase other than Samsung, Sony, or Micromax in the near future.
