As we are standing at the edge of the year 2016 and the next year is about to barge in, the smartphone makers are also planning to come up with their new flagship devices for the year 2017.
There’s no doubt in calling the OnePlus 3, the best flagship device of this year. OnePlus enjoyed a taste of success and very good response all over the world with OP 3. Undoubtedly, the Chinese company would like to keep this streak of success with their next flagship device, OnePlus 4 too.
Recently, few rumours emerged on the internet reporting the launch of new flagship device from OnePlus in the Summer of next year. Now, these rumours are backed by some new reports surfaced on Chinese Social Network Weibo claiming that the company may launch OnePlus 4 in June 2017.
These rumours make sense too considering the history of OnePlus launching its flagship smartphones during the Summer every year. OnePlus 3 was launched in June 2016 whereas OnePlus 2 was launched in July 2015. The rumours also indicate that the OnePlus will be powered by Snapdragon 830 processor which is yet to be launched.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 is currently the latest processor and the Snapdragon 830 which is expected to be much more powerful will replace it in early next year.
Talking about the specs of OnePlus 4, it is expected to sport the same 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display as the CEO of the company Pete Lau promised to stick with Optic AMOLED for near future. The device may come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Considering the camera specs, the device is likely to feature a 21-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. Also, as the Android Nougat is here, OnePlus 4 will come with Android Nougat out-of-the-box. While we are on the rumours, OnePlus 3T is also expected to launch early in the next year and will be powered by Snapdragon 821. Although, OnePlus hasn’t confirmed anything about any of these devices.
