Lenovo owned Motorola has carved its own niche in the smartphone market and has gained immense popularity in the past few years. Unlike other brands like Xiaomi and Coolpad, which capitalize on the low budget smartphone market, Motorola has successfully launched phones in most price segments. The high-end Moto Z2, which is now awaited for quite a while, may be be announced on June 27.
Recently, Moto also launched the Z2 Play and looks like, they are soon going to reveal the Z2. A teaser image by Lenovo has surfaced online which promises an event on June 27th. If we take a closer look at it, the women in the poster is holding a device which probably looks like the leaked images of Moto Z2. Although it also resembles with the Z2 Play but the dual camera setup hints at the possibility of the phone being Z2.
As of now, none of the specifications or even the design of the Moto Z2 is confirmed yet, but rumours doing the rounds online have made some major claims.
It is said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 835 chipset, which will also power the upcoming OnePlus 5. Also, the screen is rumoured to have a 5.5 inch QHD display. Considering that it is a high-end phone, it may either sport a 4GB or a 6GB RAM (or maybe two different versions?).
As with most Moto phones, it will come with the latest Android Nougat. The home button will also act as a fingerprint scanner as well as support Moto gestures for navigation. Since the image leak shows a modular design, the Z2 will have Moto Mods support too.
A Lenovo event is most probably going to happen on June 27th, but what it has for offer is something still left to speculations.
