At a press event held in New Delhi today, Samsung has launched the Galaxy C7 Pro in India priced at Rs 27,990. The phone was launched in China earlier this year and finally, after 3 months, made its way to India. The phone will be sold exclusively via Amazon starting from 11th April. In the past, Samsung has sold Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro exclusively on Amazon.
Talking about specs, the Galaxy C7 Pro flaunts a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. In the heart, sits an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor which runs all the business with the help of 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For extra space, the phone also supports an option to expand the storage with a MicroSD card.
As far as cameras are concerned, the Galaxy C7 Pro comes equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera assisted with autofocus and dual-tone LED flash. It is also capable of recording videos up to 1080 pixels @ 30fps. On the front, it sports a 16-megapixel snapper with f/1.9 aperture lens. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under Samsung UI.
The device packs in a 3300mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support to fill up the tank quickly. The Galaxy C7 Pro also mounts a fingerprint scanner integrated into the physical home button. For connectivity, it includes all the standard options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB Type-C. It comes in two colour options – Gold and Navy Blue.
Seeing the specs of the phone, it seems little overpriced. Currently, competitors are offering phones like Redmi Note 4, Moto G5 Plus powered by the same chipset (SD625) at half of what Samsung is offering. But, we should also keep in mind that Samsung has a large base of loyal customers. So, what do you think? Would you pay Rs 27,990 for the Galaxy C7 Pro?
