Samsung finally launched the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphones in India. To recall, we at Pricebaba already broke this news out two weeks ago about the launch of these smartphones in India. The Galaxy A (2017) series was first unveiled at CES 2017 in January.
At CES, three new smartphones with Galaxy A series were unveiled, but the company decided to hold back the smallest one, A3 (2017) from the Indian market. Both the smartphones have metal unibody design, gets USB Type-C port and water/dust resistance with IP68 rating. The phones also get 4G support with VoLTE connectivity along with Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and WiFi and a fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy A5 (2017) is priced at 28,999 whereas the Galaxy A7 (2017) comes with a price tag of Rs 33,490.
Talking about specs, the Galaxy A5 (2017) sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by an Exynos 7880 processor clocked at 1.9GHz and coupled with 3GB of RAM. The device gets 32GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 256GB with a MicroSD card. It sports a 16-megapixel primary as well as selfie shooter. The device packs in a 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Coming to the premium variant, the Galaxy A7 (2017) features a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display and shares the same specs as the Galaxy A5 (2017). This one is also powered by the same Exynos 7880 and gets 3GB of RAM. However, with a big display the phone also gets a bigger 3600mAh battery.
The smartphones will go on sale starting from this Thursday i.e., 15th March. However, the pre-booking is already open starting form today on Samsung E-Store as well as offline stores. Stay tuned to Pricebaba Daily for upcoming scoops.
