Samsung Offering Freebies to People who Pre-Booked the Note 7

Samsung has made it clear that the launch of its latest flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 7 is delayed in India. The company, on its official website, said that it will announce the new launch date shortly. Initially, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 was supposed to be launched in India on September 2. The company had earlier started taking pre-orders between 22nd to 30th of August.

Keeping that in mind, Samsung fans in India will now have to wait for an undisclosed period of time until the company officially launches the device or at least reveal the launch date.

While explaining the reason for the delay, Samsung assured that the company is aimed at delivering quality products to its customers and the safety of customers is something it takes very seriously. Samsung recently conducted a detailed investigation that highlighted a battery cell issue. This is what caused Samsung to delay the launch of Galaxy Note7 in India.

“As our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have delayed the sales of Galaxy Note7 in India. We acknowledge the inconvenience caused to you but this is to ensure that Samsung continues to deliver the highest quality products to our customers. Appreciate your understanding.”

As far as the hardware specs are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. Not just that, it is the first ever device to feature Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phablet is powered by a 2.3GHz Exynos 8890 octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, and Mali-T880 MP12 GPU.

The Dual-SIM Galaxy Note 7 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box. It comes with 64GB of internal storage, which is capable of expanding up to 256GB via microSD. It has a 12MP primary camera with OIS and LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. The primary camera can record 4K (2160p) videos.

On a positive side, the 4G LTE-supported Galaxy Note7 packs a USB Type-C connector while housing both the fingerprint and iris scanner. The device also supports NFC and VoLTE.
