Vivo V5 Lite With 16MP Selfie Camera To Launch In India Soon

Vivo is apparently readying the launch of yet another selfie-focused phone dubbed Vivo V5 Lite in India. Folks at an e-commerce portal OnlyMobiles have jumped the gun and revealed the price details and specifications ahead of the launch. According to the listing, Vivo V5 Lite smartphone will soon be available to purchase at the price of Rs 15,980.

If the details revealed by an e-commerce website are true, Vivo V5 Lite sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with the layer of 2.5D curved glass on top. The screen further comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powering internally is 1.5GHz Octa-Core Mediatek MT6750 chip combined with 3GB RAM.

In terms of memory, the phone features 32GB built-in storage, which can be expanded further up to 128GB by means of a microSD card support. It is a dual-SIM handset with hybrid SIM slot, which runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Funtouch OS 3.0. The listing confirms that Vivo V5 is upgradable to Android Nougat.

Looking at the pictures, Vivo V5 seems to be featuring metal unibody design with two antenna bands. The phone, however, lacks a fingerprint scanner which is disappointing. For photography, it houses a 13MP rear camera with LED flash. Up front is a whopping 16MP selfie camera with flash. It measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.6 mm and weighs 155g.

Vivo V5 Lite packs in a 3000mAh battery under the hood. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and microUSB 2.0. In other news, Vivo is all set to launch Vivo V5 Plus in India On January 23. It is expected that the company will unveil Vivo V5 Lite during the same event.
