Xiaomi is all set to launch a new phone on September 27 in China. If reports are to be believed, Xiaomi will launch the recently surfaced Mi 5s during the event. Although the company is not talking much, the invite has the letter ‘S’ on it. This is how Xiaomi has given a hint implying that the upcoming phone will have the letter ‘S’ in its name. While things are not pretty much black-and-white at this moment, we think it’s the Xiaomi Mi 5s!
There have been several leaks and rumors, portraying the Mi 5s as a hardware-intensive device. The phone allegedly features Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It may have a 5.15-inch Full HD display as well as a quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC, clocked at 2.3GHz. For graphics, the phone reportedly includes the Adreno 530 GPU. The Xiaomi Mi 5s runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of MIUI 8. The phone will have a 16-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), dual-tone LED flash, and support for 4K video recording. There is no mention regarding the front camera.
