Xolo Era 2X With 4G VoLTE & Fingerprint Scanner Launched In India

Indian cell phone maker Xolo today launched a new phone dubbed Xolo Era 2X, as promised. Xolo Era 2X is the latest affordable 4G VoLTE smartphone launched by the company. It is also the successor to last year’s Xolo Era 1X, which is currently available to purchase for Rs 4,999.

To begin with, Xolo Era 2X comes with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD On-cell IPS display. The device is powered by a 1.25GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit Processor with Mali T720 MP1 GPU. The smartphone further comes in two variants — 2GB RAM and 3GB. Both the variants come with 16GB storage, which is expandable up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card support.

In terms of optics, Xolo Era 2X features a 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, and 5P Largan lens. Up front, it houses a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. The phone also carries a fingerprint scanner on the back, which sits right below the primary camera module. It is claimed to unlock the phone in 0.5 second. Needles to say, it can also be used to capture photos and up to 5 fingers can be added.

The Dual-SIM Xolo Era 2X is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The phone keeps up with a 2500mAh battery and connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio. Xolo Era 2X costs Rs 6,999 for 2GB RAM variant and Rs 7,499 for 3GB RAM option. It will on exclusively on Flipkart starting January 9 in Latte Gold and Dark Gunmetal colour options.
