The Moto G and the ASUS ZenFone 5 were going head to head for the top spot at the best phone under 15,000 rupees. While the ZenFone had the advantage of a bigger screen and a better camera, Moto soon upgraded its Moto G to sport a 5 Inch display and bumped the camera up to 8 Megapixel. The Moto G Gen 2 was launched 2 months after the Asus Zenfone 5 and has the goodwill of the previous device to cash on.

Both phones have the same screen size (5 inch) and a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The output of both the displays are fairly the same. The camera resolution is exactly the same an 8 megapixel autofocus sensor with LED flash and both phones have a 2 megapixel front facing camera The Moto G 2nd Gen is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad Core Snapdragon 400 processor whereas the Asus ZenFone 5 has a 1.6GHz Dual Core Intel Atom Z2560 Processor The Moto G 2nd Gen has 1GB of RAM and the ZenFone 5 has 2GB of RAM, it’ll need it because it lacks 2 cores

Both phones have expandable storage via a MicroSD card slot but only the ZenFone 5 supports cards up to 64GB whereas the Moto G 2nd Gen is restricted to 32GB storage Both phones offer Dual SIM support and have a non removable battery. The Moto G is updated frequently and faster than the Asus Zenfone. The Asus ZenFone 5 looks premium and feels premium and the Moto G 2nd Gen is a close second.
