The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is an upgrade to the popular VFM tablet from Samsung — the Galaxy Tab 2. It has gotten better specs; and interestingly the Galaxy Tab 3 is a slightly downgraded version of the Note 8.0 tablet. While the screen size is bumped by an inch to 8.0 inches (from 7-inches on the Galaxy Tab 2), the resolution is also upped to 1280 x 800. Mind you, unlike the Note 8.0, the Galaxy Tab 3 does not come with a stylus. The device is physically thinner and lighter than its predecessor, and now dons the look that's similar to almost every newly released Samsung smartphone. The Tab 3 8.0 uses an Exynos 4212 chipset that bears a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, which is a bump up from the 1GHz dual-core chip on the Tab 2. The RAM is also increased by 50 percent to 1.5GB, the 5 megapixel rear camera gets an LED flash accompaniment, the front-facing camera is upgraded from VGA to 1.3 megapixels. The battery on the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is also increased to 4450 mAh, that claims to keep the tablet running for a good 11 hours.
