Overview
Karbonn claims to be the third largest Indian mobile manufacturer. The Karbonn Smart A26 is a dual-SIM phone that has a 5 inch display with the resolution of 854x480 pixels and 196 PPI pixel density. It comes with 512MB RAM which is pretty average and runs on a 1GHz Dual-core processor. The 4GB of internal storage can be expanded up to 32GB. It has a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. The battery has 2000 mAh power. This phone is very reasonable but then it clearly lacks in specs. If you can stretch your budget by around Rs. 1,000 then the Karbonn Sparkle V or the Spice Dream Uno would be better bets.
Micromax is slowly capturing the mindset of the Indian consumers with their bang-for-the-buck range of smartphones. Micromax Bolt A67 is an entry level smartphone and is budget friendly as well with display size of 854 x 480 pixels, 4.5 inches and offers a TFT touchscreen. The smartphone has 4GB of internal memory and 512MB of RAM. The phone doesn’t support 3G; just 2G and Bluetooth version v2.0. The phone’s got a 2 MP, 1600x1200 pixels primary camera and VGA a secondary camera. It comes with Android OS v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is built-in and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core CPU. The 1850 mAh battery should give a reasonable up-time.
