Aesthetically, the Lenovo A6000 Plus is smaller, has a 5 inch screen and is lighter at a 128g. The Lenovo A7000 has a larger 5.5 inch display - a good size for consuming multimedia on the device. Both devices have an IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Resolution being the same, the content on the A6000 Plus looks crisp when compared to the Lenovo A7000 with the larger screen. You can consider the Lenovo A7000 only if you have to have a bigger display else the A6000 Plus scores better.
Both these devices has exactly same camera that is the 8MP autofocus camera, but the Lenovo A7000 has a nicer 5MP camera for selfies while the Lenovo A6000 has a low-res 2MP camera. Both are 4G enabled, leading the cheapest 4G phone line up in India. Both have the same 2GB of RAM and should not lag when multitasking. The differences start to creep in when you move to the processing capabilities of these devices. Both sport an entry-level 64 bit processor - While the newer Lenovo A7000 runs a faster 1.5GHz Octa Core processor, the A6000 Plus is left behind with a 1.2GHz Quad Core processor. Cores will matter for running intense tasks on the device and the one that has more cores will definitely pass out with flying colors.
While both the phones run Vibe UI, the A7000 comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop while the Lenovo A6000 plus is still stuck with Android 4.4. Lenovo has promised an update for the A6000 Plus which will soon update it to Lollipop. Storage is where the Lenovo A6000 Plus has an upper-hand, as you get 16GB of memory with 11GB user available space. Lenovo A7000 comes with 8GB of internal memory where only 4.7GB can be accessed by the user. Storage on both the devices can later be expanded with a microSD card of up to 32GB. Lenovo A7000 has an advantage of having a bigger 2900mAh battery and the phone should withstand a day usage without needing of charging. That wont strike out Lenovo A6000 Plus out for you as you still have decent 2300mAh battery on it.
In conclusion, if you want a bigger display, more processing power and battery capacity - the Lenovo A7000 is definitely the right choice. But the Lenovo A6000 is not left far behind. It is just let down by a poor front facing camera and lower battery capacity but in return it saves you a thousand bucks.
