Overview
The LG G Pro Lite is a mid-range phablet from the Korean phone maker; after showing their newly-regained strength in the high-end smartphone segment with the G2. The G Pro Lite features a 5.5-inch IPS panel but with a relatively low 960 x 540 pixel resolution. One distinction between the original G Pro and this model is the presence of a stylus, that fits into the shell of the phone. The G Pro Lite is powered by a dual-core 1GHz Mediatek MT6577 chipset, typically found on Android smartphones built by Indian phone makers, and now even appearing on multi-national brand handsets like the Sony XPERIA C. But the variant used in the LG G Pro Lite is lower than the Mediatek MT6589 quad-core variety typically seen. Coupled with that is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

Connectivity-wise, its got the basics covered — 3G with speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 3.0 and also comes in a dual-SIM variant. In the camera department, this smartphone has an 8 megapixel rear-facing sensor and a 1.3MP front-facing one. The phone can record 1080p HD videos. The phone also has stereo speakers at the base. There's a massive 3140 mAh battery powering this phone, and given the comparatively non-intensive hardware components, we hope the battery life should shine. Competition from phablets priced nearby would include the Huawei Ascend Mate and the Samsung Mega 5.8.
The Moto G is an entry-level smartphone from the now Google owned phone maker Motorola. Having exit markets like India in the past before the acquisition, this will mark the company’s re-entry once the Moto G starts selling here in January 2014. The Moto G comes in colourful rear shells that are replaceable. sports a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 pixel LCD touchscreen. At its heart, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip, with four cores running at 1.2GHz each. There’s a reasonable Adreno 305 graphics chip onboard as well. Coupled with the chip is 1GB of RAM and either 8 or 16GB of internal memory. Sadly, the Moto G will be one of the very few inexpensive handsets to not have a microSD card slot. This 3G enabled handset can deliver speeds of up to 21 Mbps and has WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0 support.

There’s a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with an LED flash at the back, accompanied by a 1.3MP front-facing camera. The phone can record videos in 720p HD. FM Radio also makes it to the feature-list, winning the hearts of people who still desire for this feature. Although the phone runs Android 4.3, it is said to run the latest Android 4.4 KitKat by the time it launches in India. There’s a 2070 mAh non-removable battery which Motorola quotes can deliver an “all day battery life”. The Moto G is said to have an attractive price point for the features offered; hopefully under the Rs. 15,000 mark for the higher 16GB capacity model that you're seeing right now.
