Editor Notes

Nokia Lumia 630 is a Windows Phone. Moto G is an Android Smartphone. Both these devices have a 4.5 inch screen but with different screen resolutions. Lumia 630 has a screen resolution of 854x480 pixels with a pixel density of 218PPI while Moto G bears a HD resolution of 1280x720 pixels and 326PPI pixel density. Thus the Moto G has a better, crisper display. Under the hood, there is a 1.2GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor in both of them. But Nokia Lumia 630 has only 512MB RAM while Moto G has 1GB RAM. Lumia 630 has 8GB internal storage which can be expanded to 128GB by using high capacity microSD cards. Whereas Moto G has either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage with no microSD expansion slot.

Nokia Lumia 630 has a 5 Megapixel camera but unfortunately lacks a flash and even a secondary camera. On the other hand, Moto G features a 5 Megapixel rear camera with flash and a 1.3 Megapixel front camera. Both can record HD videos at 720p. Lumia 630 comes in two variants — Single-SIM and Dual-SIM whereas Moto G comes only in Dual-SIM. Both these smartphones have support for 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. In terms of software features, Lumia 630 boasts Nokia HERE Drive, Nokia MixRadio, Nokia Refocus, Bing Health and Fitness etc. Whereas, the Moto G runs the latest Android 4.4 KitKat.

Our Pick — Both have different operating systems so it’s not an Apples to Apples comparison. But the Moto G trumps the Lumia 630 with respect to display and camera features.
