Overview
The Xolo Q1000 is a sub-Rs. 15k Android smartphone bearing a 5-inch 1280 x 720 pixel IPS panel, a 1.2GHz quad-core Mediatek MTK 6589 chipset coupled with 1GB of RAM. Internal storage is slightly less at just 4GB, though you can store more media with the use of a microSD card. This phone supports blazing 3G speeds of up to 42.2 Mbps, and has WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0 support too. There is an 8 megapixel autofocus camera at the back with an LED flash, and a 1.2MP front-facing snapper. The rear camera can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. There's a 2100 mAh lithium-ion battery powering the unit. Lastly, one of the much-ignored feature is available on the Q1000 — FM Radio. This is a dual-SIM handset.
To survive in the phablet war, Xolo has recently launched Q3000 as a successor to models like Q1000 and Q800. The Xolo Q3000 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) 3G device (with speeds of up to 42.2 Mbps) which will run on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean. It has a 5.7-inch (1080x1920 pixel) full-HD IPS display (compared to Q2000, which has a 5.5 inch 1280 x 720 pixel IPS display). The smartphone will be powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6589T processor, which is coupled with 2GB of RAM (the processor and the RAM have been significantly upgraded as compared to its predecessors). The Xolo Q3000 features 16GB inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB more via microSD. The Xolo Q3000 smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera which supports Full HD video recording and the secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor makes it a great phablet for photogenics. Although the rear camera is not much upgraded, many new features have been added like Low Light Enhancement, Panorama Capture and Geo-tagging. The giant has the following sensors – Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Gyroscope and Proximity Sensor.

On the connectivity front, the Xolo Q3000 will include 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, Micro-USB, USB OTG, MHL and Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone will pack in a 4000mAh battery, which will give you 33 hours and 21 hours of talktime on 2G and 3G respectively. This mammoth is larger than the batteries seen on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (3200 mAh) and the Nokia Lumia 1320 (3400 mAh) respectively.
