HTC U Ultra Features

HTC U Ultra is a new flagship device of the year from the Taiwanese company. The HTC U Ultra gets a glass metal sandwich design with an additional secondary display on top. The phone is built with sapphire glass on front and back and is available in four colours - Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Cosmetic Pink, and Ice White.


HTC U Ultra sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM. The phone also comes with 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 2TB with a MicroSD card. As stated earlier, the phone also gets a secondary display on top which comes with “always on” mode which shows priority notifications pushed by the Sense Companion, HTC’s own in-house developed AI-based system.


The HTC U Ultra also company’s own U-Sonic SONAR-based audio system which company claims to deliver the brilliant and true sound output. Apart from HTC USonic, the U Ultra also features HTC BoomSound™ Hi-Fi edition, 3D Audio recording, Hi-Res audio stereo recording and noise cancellation. The U Ultra features a 12-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, laser autofocus and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). On the front, it flaunts a 16-megapixel snapper which comes with multiple modes such as ‘UltraPixel and Live Makeup, Voice Selfie, and Selfie Panorama. The rear camera also supports Hyperlapse, 720p slo-mo video recording at 120FPS and 4k video recording with 3D Hi-res audio.


The HTC U Ultra houses 4 omni-directional microphones which company claims to capture positional sound in your video and audio recordings. The company also boast about the DxoMark rating of 88 which surpasses the iPhone 7 Plus and just one score shy of the Google Pixel phones placed at a rating of 89.


It is a Dual SIM phone and support Nano SIM cards in both the slots. The phone also features a fingerprint scanner mounted on home button and a USB Type-C port. The phone also support gesture such as Quite ring on pick up, Pocket mode, and Flip to Mute.
