Lenovo Vibe X3 Features

The Lenovo Vibe X3 was the second smartphone launch from Lenovo in the month of January of 2016 as an Amazon India exclusive product. In China, the phone was launched about two or so months before it was finally announced in India. The Vibe X3 supports TheatreMax, which delivers a cinematic experience of the existing content on the phone when used with a AntVR headset, which Lenovo sells separately.

Display & Design
The back of the Lenovo Vibe X3 is made out of a high quality thermosetting synthetic resin, which gives the phone a really reassuring, yet premium build quality. The front of the phone features front facing stereo speakers which have been tuned by Dolby Atmos. The bezels on the front of the device are rather thin and make for a phone that is quite a looker. The display on the front of the device is a 5.5 inch IPS panel, and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for an extra added layer of protection. Lenovo has been very vocal about the display quality stating that the phone has a 100% colour reproduction with 178 degree viewing angle.

Hardware and Features
The Vibe X3 is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset, which we have already seen on the Nexus 5X. The chipset is a capable unit and should deliver a very consistent performance, with hardly any hiccups. There is 3GB of RAM on board so multitasking on this device should be no problem at all. On the feature side, you get a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device. The audio technology on the phone for powering the audio technology for calls is powered by Wolfson, and has HD audio. Phone calls should sound good on this device. It runs Vibe UI on top of Android.

Camera & Storage
The primary camera on the Vibe X3 is a 21MP sensor and located on the back of the phone just above the fingerprint scanner. This is a Sony IMX230 sensor and comes with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture as well as an LED flash. The front facing camera is an 8MP sensor. There are several options in the camera app, which let you take the shot precisely how you would want to do so. The Vibe X3 is available in a  couple of memory variants. There is a 16GB version and a 32GB version. The unit in India is sold with a 32GB internal storage. There is a support for Micro SD card thanks to the hybrid SIM card that the phone comes with.

Battery and Connectivity
The Vibe X3 packs a pretty powerful punch when it comes to battery. You get a 3500mAh battery on the device which, if used moderately should get you by a good day and a half. This is a non removable battery so you will not be able to replace it yourself. Thanks to the hybrid SIM card, you do get Dual SIM support. It does come with FM, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC support. Not just this, there is USB OTG support included too.

Phones running Snapdragon 808 are a good alternatives to the Vibe X3. You can look at the likes of Nextbit Robin as well as the Nexus 5X. Also suggest that you keep a close eye on the Motorola Moto X Style, which on discount is close to the Rs 20,000 mark and is a good alternate.
