Talk about ASUS Mobile Phones, ask your questions!

From being a household name in the world of Electronics to being one of the most desired brands in the space of personal technology, Asus has come a long way since its inception in Taiwan in early 1989. Immaculately taglined, , Asus has been at the heart of pushing the digital revolution forward. Ranked among Asia's top 10 IT companies as well as the holder of record for selling the maximum PCs in 2014 by unit sales, Asus is a brand that has become synonymous with innovation driven quality product. They have pushed the envelope of innovation forward most famously with their smartphone lineup called the Zenfone as well as the Transformer and Fonepad lineup of tablets. Some of the other product lineup includes desktops, laptops, LCDs, motherboards, graphics cards, optical storage products etc.

Very interesting to note is that the name Asus originates from the word Pegasus, which in Greek mythology is a winged horse. In order to rank higher in any alphabetical history, it was decided to go ahead and use only the last four letters, which gave birth to Asus. Asus prides itself on testing its products in the most extreme conditions which is why, they also hold the accolade of being the manufacturer of the Netbooks that were the first to reach the top of Mount Everest. Not just this, Asus Netbooks have also been to North and South Pole as well as a part of several grueling races.

On the mobile front, Asus has been one of the first members of the Open Handset Alliance (includes members like HTC, Samsung, LG, ZTE etc) in 2008, which promised to either use Android software with its hardware or make significant contributions to the code for AOSP (Android Open Source Project). However, it was not until late 2010 that we saw a solely Asus branded smartphone, given the existence of a previously held strategic partnership with Garmin, which saw six smartphones under the umbrella of Garmin Asus.

Largely operating in the South Eastern Asia market, Asus as a smartphone maker has gained sizeable traction in countries like India, China and Taiwan among others. Both, the first batch of Zenfones which included the Zenfone 4, 5, 6 and C as well as the complicated lineup of Zenfone 2 series have been well received both by the consumers as well as the critics. Largely operating in the online space via E-Com partners like Flipkart, you could be forgiven if you have not seen their devices on the shelves of your favorite phone retailers. Other than the Zenfone series, Asus has also worked very closely with Google for producing the two generations of highly successful Nexus 7 series of tablets, along side the LG Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. It is widely reported that the Nexus 7 series was the only tablet that came anywhere close to challenging the iPad when it comes to supremacy in the tablet space.
