Talk about HTC Mobile Phones, ask your questions!

Often regarded as the manufacturers of the best hardware when it comes to Android devices, HTC Mobiles is pretty much everybody's second favourite if not the first. Such is the popularity and design prowess of the Taiwanese giants that HTC shares several design patents with the industry leaders in design, Apple. This is why there has been a strong resemblance between the latest iPhones, including the iPhone 6/6 Plus and the likes of HTC M8 and M9.

Starting out as an OEM, ODM and Designer of mobile phones, touchscreen phones, and PDAs, HTC has made several iconic devices in the years gone by. During its days as an ODM for others, HTC was responsible for building HP iPAQ and the Palm Treo 650, two of the earliest smart devices, well before smartphones were found just about in every pocket. Even before the move to Android and swearing its loyalties towards Open Handset Alliance, HTC was a step ahead of its competitors largely building Windows Mobile devices with very distinctive stylus that was a part of the offering. Devices like HTC Diamond 2 and Tilt Pro 2 till date remain some of the best handsets that we have had.

Post moving to Android, some of the earliest Android devices too came from the labs of HTC with devices like the HTC Dream G1 and HTC Tattoo. HTC also holds accolades for making the very first 3D as well as 4G device. Both, the Evo 3D and Evo 4G may not have set the sales charts on fire, but they definitely outlined the capabilities of HTC when it comes to propagating innovation and its commitment to giving the customers products that are well ahead of the curve. The tagline, Quietly Brilliant has become the perfect representation of the brand, as most of the industry experts have blamed less than optimum marketing spends as one of the reasons why HTC has not dominated the market share numbers in turn not turning in the sort of profits that it deserves to.

HTC in its current avatar has been home to several remarkable series of devices, most notably the Desire series and One series. The HTC One M7 and M8 were two of the most appreciated products of the recent past, earning HTC several awards for the immaculate designing capabilities. The original Desire, Desire HD and Desire Z too earned legendary status before manufacturers like Samsung, Motorola and LG really came full force into the game while HTC struggled a bit with devices like the HTC One X, One V and Butterfly, which were not up to the standards previously set. Not just independently, HTC has worked closely with Google in manufacturing the first ever Nexus device, called the Nexus One as well as most recently on the first ever 9 inch Nexus tablet called the Nexus 9. But the prices of their products in India and abroad have not been able to compete with the under-cutting Android phone makers, causing troublesome times for the company.
