Samsung Galaxy C7 (64GB) Features

The Samsung Galaxy C7 is one of the very first devices in the 'C Series' of smartphones from Samsung. The series is primarily focussed at coming up with smartphones with metallic body and no compromise specifications. Alongside the Galaxy C7, the Galaxy C5 is the other device in the C Series that we have already seen.

Display & Design
First look at the Samsung Galaxy C7 and you would be excused for mistaking it for the iPhone 6. In fact, the device also features the dreaded and much criticised rubber antennae lines that run on the back. As for the display, just like every high-end Android phone from Samsung, the display is drop dead gorgeous. You get a 5.7 inch screen with a Full HD resolution, giving the screen a pixel density of 386. Add to the fact that the display is Super AMOLED, the colours really pop out of the display.

Hardware and Features
Powering the Samsung Galaxy C7 is an Octa Core Snapdragon 625 chipset with Adreno 506 GPU. There is 4GB of RAM to keep your experience stutter free. You also have a fingerprint scanner on the home button. As for the internal storage, you have an option of picking either a 32GB or a 64GB variant. It should not prove to be too difficult a decision as the phone features a Hybrid SIM slot, which can double up as a slot for the MicroSD card. As with every Android phone made by Samsung, there is a custom TouchWiz UI on top. Below it is the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Camera & Storage
The rear camera on the Samsung Galaxy C7 features a 16 MP sensor, with f/1.9 aperture. This configuration makes the Galaxy C7 one of the best camera smartphones out there, especially for low light shooting. There is a dual tone LED flash on the rear to assist you with shooting when there is not sufficient light. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps. The front facing camera is an 8MP shooter, with same f/1.9 aperture. As mentioned above, the internal storage is either 32GB or 64GB depending on your choice, though you do get a slot to expand that storage using a MicroSD card of up to 128GB.

Battery and Connectivity
The Galaxy C7 features a non-removable 3300 mAh Li-Ion battery. The battery should easily last you more than a day on moderate usage. Just like most modern day phones, the C7 comes with a vast array of connectivity options. You have the likes of WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE, GPS, NFC all on board. This device has a hybrid SIM slot, so you can easily have two micro SIM cards in there with dual standby. You also get fest battery charging which promises to charge up to 83% of your phone in just 30 minutes.

Competition
The device competes in a very crowded segment of smartphones. You have the classic devices like the Motorola Moto X Style, which is a very stylish device with a near stock experience well as the likes of Xiaomi Mi5 which comes with the latest Snapdragon 820 chipset. You could also look at devices like the Nexus 5X which will be a very capable device to pick if you do not wish to invest in the Samsung device.
