10.or (pronounced Tenor) announced another budget smartphone dubbed as the ‘Tenor D’. The phone is priced very low and packs-in great specifications considering its cost. The latest offering by the Amazon India-backed brand will offer direct competition to the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. The 10.or D is the third smartphone by the brand after the 10.or G and 10.or E. Let’s have a closer look to see what this phone has to offer.
Display and Design
On the design front, the Tenor D sports an overall metal design. On the back, the phone also packs in a fingerprint sensor which is rarely found in this price segment (the Redmi 5A lacks it). On the front, the phone is equipped with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Performance and Storage
Underneath its hood, the latest offering by 10.or is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 SOC which is combined with an Adreno 308 GPU for enhanced graphics performance. To breeze through multitasking, the phone will ship with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the phone will be offered in a 16GB or 32GB internal memory depending on the RAM variant. Out of the box, the device will run a clean version of Android 7.0 Nougat which is likely to see an upgrade to Oreo in the coming months.
Camera and Battery
In the optics department, the Tenor D is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera coupled with LED flash. Up front, the phone features a 5-megapixel selfie snapper which, unfortunately, unlike the Redmi 5A, doesn’t have a front-facing flash. The phone draws its power from a large 3,500 mAh non-user removable battery located underneath its hood.
Connectivity and other Features
When it comes to connectivity, the phone offers support for all conventional solutions like Bluetooth, dual-band WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and up to 4G VoLTE through its dual-SIM support.
The phone is also fitted with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro USB port for charging and transferring data. The smartphone will be available exclusively through Amazon India starting January 5, 2018. Amazon has also offered an extra year of warranty coverage for the phone if you are a Prime Member of the website.
