While we’ve seen several new automobile announcements at the 2023 Auto Expo, Tata Motors has been the busiest, with multiple new offerings and refreshes of existing vehicles. Continuing the trend, the automaker unveiled the Tiago EV Blitz, effectively a visually rehashed variant of the standard Tiago EV, which is currently among the cheapest EVs in the country.
Among the notable inclusions are a black sunroof, 15-inch wheels, and black ORVMs. There’s also a black rear spoiler which makes it stand out from the standard Tiago EV. By the looks of it, the Tiago EV Blitz appears to be merely a visual upgrade, and there are no signs of a change in the motor/battery configuration from the Tiago EV.

As pointed out by HT Auto, the Blitz also features a new bolt badging next to the EV badging, which is absent from the Tiago EV. The blue accents prominently visible on the exterior of Tata’s 2022 electric hatchback make way for additional black elements, including under the headlamps.

Inside the Blitz, customers will find little changes, one of them being the inclusion of the bolt insignia stitched on the headrests accompanied by blue accents. Interestingly, the new EV will allow customers to monitor the multi-level regeneration system in real-time using the instrument cluster.
Tata Tiago EV Blitz expected price and launch date
Unfortunately, the company did not disclose pricing information for this new EV. However, Tata said that the Tiago EV Blitz would be available in FY2024, suggesting a launch early in the year. The pricing should be slightly higher than the standard versions of the Tiago EV, perhaps in the range of Rs 1-2 lakhs, depending on the model.
The launch of the Tiago EV Blitz was preceded by the likes of the Harrier EV, which is the company’s first entry into the premium SUV market. Meanwhile, the massively successful Nexon EV caters to the mid-range segment.
