Let’s be honest about it, you are bound to stare down the man who is carrying an orange colour phone than someone who is carrying the plain bland and boring iPhone. So if you like to experiment a bit and colour is the most important attribute for you when it comes to choosing a smartphone, we thought of guiding you. It is true that most phones today either come in boring black and white or if you are lucky in some sort of a pink shade, and that is where the colour choices end. But there are some manufacturers that come up with phones that are fresh in colour and offer something that is a little different from the usual run of the mill stuff. Here are five phones in unique colours that you can pick today.
Asus Zenfone Max 2016- Orange
There are not many colours that scream for attention the way orange does. Back in the good old day, the likes of Nokia especially with their Lumia lineup of phones had orange devices and it is refreshing to see Asus bring one of the new Zenfone Max devices in the orange colour. The colour is not the only standout feature of the phone as the Zenfone Max 2016 comes with a mammoth 5,000 mAh battery and has an option of being available in either 2GB or 3GB RAM variant. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 615 chipset, which we have seen in popular devices like the Moto X Play and the Xiaomi Mi4i.
Asus Zenfone Selfie- Red
Red is a colour of power and love, and if you love selfies, then you would really want to consider picking the Asus Zenfone Selfie in red colour. There are a couple of options that are available in the device, though we would advise you to pick the 3GB RAM version as that would make sure that the performance is smoother, when compared to the 2GB version. Other specifications include Snapdragon 615 under the hood of a 5.5 inch Full HD display and sporting 13MP camera both on the front and back. The front of the phone also features a flash, so you can take a tonne of selfies even in conditions where the lighting is not the most appropriate. The only thing you may want to consider the volume keys at the back of the phone, which is not the most clever placement of buttons.
HTC Desire 728G- Purple Myst
The HTC Desire 728G is a smartphone that aficionados of purple colour would really like. Especially for the ladies, it is an interesting phone as it is not a beastly big device and packs quite a decent set of specifications. At around the Rs 12,000 mark, the HTC Desire 728G is not a very expensive device and therefore would be a good fit in the budget category. The phone comes with a 5.5-inch display and is powered by MT6753 chipset with 1.5GB of RAM. The front of the phone features the BoomSound speakers from HTC, which made quite a name for themselves in the likes of HTC M7 and M8, so if you are looking for a handset which sounds very good, you really should consider this one.
LG G4- Leather
If you are in the market for an absolute top of the charts flagship device with unique colours, then the LG G4 may be of interest to you. The device comes in a variety of options when it comes to colours and back materials. The one that caught our eye was this faux stitched leather unit with a brownish-red colour. It is the only phone in our recommendations that comes with a 2K display alongside a very decent Snapdragon 808 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 16MP rear camera and 3000 mAh removable battery. The 5.5-inch display on the LG G4 is one of the best that you will see on a phone and with various colour options available, the G4 is for those who want style in equal measure with power.
Nexus 5X- Ice Blue
The Nexus 5X is one of the two flagships Nexus devices of the year 2015 alongside the Nexus 6P. Manufactured by LG, the phone comes in a unique frost or icy blue colour. This is a very light blue colour and looks extremely pleasant alongside the black bezels of the phone. Being a Nexus phone, the Nexus 5X comes loaded with Vanilla Android as Google wants it. As a result, it also is one of the first phones to receive Android updates and generally has a very snappy performance. The specifications of the Nexus 5X are close to those of the LG G4, with the device featuring a Snapdragon 808 chipset and a 5.2-inch screen. The resolution here though is 1080P and RAM is 2GB, while the rear camera is scaled down to 12.3MP.
