OPPO India announced that all of its 5G-enabled handsets will now support the newly launched Airtel 5G network. Airtel’s 5G Plus service is now available, and customers will not have to change their SIM cards. As the existing SIMs are already 5G-enabled. However, consumers will have to change their network settings to move from 4G to 5G.
Earlier this month, OPPO teamed up with Airtel at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022 to demonstrate 5G capabilities. Where the company showcased speeds of over 1 GBPS. If you use Airtel and are looking for a new 5G smartphone, OPPO’s 5G devices could be a solid pick.

How to Enable Airtel 5G Plus in OPPO Devices?
- Firstly open the settings menu on your OPPO device
- Now tap on ‘Network and internet’ or search for ‘Network’
- Scroll down and tap on ‘SIMs’ to find the ‘Preferred network type’ option
- Lastly, tap on the ‘Preferred network type’ and select Airtel 5G or 5G
After successfully following the abovementioned steps, customers can enjoy 5G services on their devices. OPPO has officially announced that all of its 5G devices will now support Airtel’s 5G services. This includes OPPO Reno 5G Pro, OPPO Reno 6, OPPO Reno 6 Pro, OPPO F19 Pro Plus, OPPO A53s, OPPO A74, OPPO Reno 7 Pro 5G, OPPO F21 Pro 5G, OPPO Reno 7, OPPO Reno 8, OPPO Reno 8 Pro, OPPO K10 5G and OPPO F21s Pro.
Apart from OPPO, Airtel has also listed several other 5G-enabled smartphones from multiple OEMs that will support its new 5G services. It includes Realme, Xiaomi, Vivo, iQOO, Apple, OnePlus and Samsung. The procedure of enabling 5G services on these devices should be similar to that of OPPO devices.
