CES 2020: Acer announces ConceptD 7 Ezel convertible and ConceptD 700 workstation

Acer had announced the ConceptD 9 aimed at creators last year. The ConceptD series is the company’s range of premium laptops. Now the Taiwanese brand has announced a smaller version of the ConceptD 9 dubbed as Concept D7 Ezel. The new offering comes with a convertible design that was seen on the Predator Triton 900 gaming laptop last year. The Concept D 7 Ezel is offered in standard and Pro versions. Alongside the ConceptD, Acer has also refreshed its Spin series of laptops

ConceptD 7 Ezel specifications and features

The ConceptD 7 Ezel is designed specifically for creative work. Compared to the D 9, the latest offering features a smaller 15.6-inch display bearing 4K resolution. The screen offers 100 percent Adobe RGB colour gamut with 400 nits of brightness and an anti-glare coating. The convertible device can be used in different modes like tablet, tent and laptop. Additionally, the screen can also be positioned above the keyboard. The ConceptD 7 Ezel comes with touchscreen support and an included Wacom EMR digital pen. 

On the hardware front, the ConceptD 7 Ezel is equipped with up to an unspecified 10th gen Intel H-series processor. It packs 32GB RAM and offers up to 2TB PCIe SSD. Both the standard and Pro variants feature Nvidia GPUs onboard. The Pro model can be configured with the Intel Xeon processor, Quadro RTX graphics and ECC memory support. Connectivity-wise, the ConceptD 7 Ezel comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and an SDcard reader. 

The ConceptD 700 comes with a wireless charging pad on the top.

In addition to the ConceptD 7, Acer has launched a desktop PC designed for creators. The desktop workstation is powered by up to an Intel Xeon E processor. It can be configured with Quadro RTX 4000 and 64GB RAM. The device comes features a built-in wireless charging pad on top. 

ConceptD 7 Ezel and ConceptD 700 pricing and availability

Acer has priced the standard ConceptD7 Ezel for $2,699 (~Rs 1,94,000) without the exact date of availability. The Pro model will be available in July starting at $3,099 (~Rs 2,23,000). The ConceptD 700 carries a price tag of $1,699 (~Rs 1,22,000) and will be available in Europe in March.
