Acer launches Predator Triton, Helios and Nitro gaming laptops in India: price, specifications

Acer has unveiled a slew of gaming-oriented laptops in India. The laptops cover various price ranges, and span the Triton, Helios, and Nitro series. All the Acer laptops are equipped with an advanced cooling system that includes 4th gen AeroBlade 3D metal fans and Coolboost technology. Let’s take a look below along with the pricing and availability:

Predator Triton 900 and Triton 500:

Both the Predator Triton 900 and 500 are gaming notebooks with an all-metal chassis. The former sports a 17.3-inch 4K display while the latter comes with a 15.6-inch screen bearing FHD resolution. The Predator 900 is a convertible gaming laptop and comes with an Aero Hinge that flips, extends, or reclines the display letting users switch between four usage modes. 

Under the hood, the Predator Triton 900 is equipped with a Core i9 processor combined with two 512GB SSDs and up to 32GB DDR4 RAM. The Predator Triton 500 houses a slightly underpowered 8th gen Core i7 chipset. Both the laptops are infused with Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 GPU. The Predator Triton 900 and 500 feature per-key RGB backlighting and come with Waves Maxx audio. 

Predator Helios 300 and Helios 700:

The Predator Helios 300 is offered in 15 and 17-inch display sizes with FHD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate panel. The laptop flaunts a metal chassis with teal blue accents. At its core lies a 9th gen Core i7 processor paired with RTX 2070 GPU based on Max-Q design. The Helios 300 packs up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and offers up to two PCIe SSDs in RAID 0 plus a hard drive. 

On the other hand, the Predator Helios 700 comes with only a 17-inch FHD display with Nvidia G-Sync technology. It is equipped with five speakers and a subwoofer for the immersive audio experience. The laptop houses top-of-the-line hardware with a 9th gen Core i9 processor, Nvidia RTX 2080 or 2070 GPU, and up to 64GB RAM. The Predator Helios 700 features a unique HyperDrift forward sliding keyboard that aids in maximizing airflow to keep the system cool. Alongside the AeroBlade fans, the laptop is also equipped with five copper heat pipes, a vapor chamber, and CoolBoost technology.

Nitro 5 and Nitro 7:

The Nitro 5 and Nitro 7 are low-priced gaming laptops in the lineup. The former comes in 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch screen sizes, while the latter is only available with a 15.6-inch display. Both the laptops come with narrow bezels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an 80 percent screen-to-body ratio. 

On the hardware front, the Nitro 5 and Nitro 7 are powered by up to 9th gen Intel Core processor paired with the latest Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics card. It offers two storage slots for M.2 Gen 3 x4 PCIe SSDs using NVMe technology in RAID 0 and packs up to 32GB DDR4 memory. Both the machines feature NitroSense with OneTouch to keep the thermal of laptops under check. There is Acer TrueHarmony that offers six sound modes turns sticky keys on/ off and activates the LCD overdrive to bring the display response time down to 3ms.


Alongside the launch of gaming laptops, Acer also announced gaming monitors and a dedicated streaming PC. The latter is called Nitro Stream for PC and console game broadcasters. It ensures hassle-free FHD streaming, shares gameplay, and lets you interact with friends and the gaming community. Users can optimise the streaming performance with an 8th gen Core i7/i5 processor paired with up to 32GB RAM and 256GB SSD. 

Lastly, Acer has also introduced three gaming monitors that include the AOPEN HC1 32-inch, Nitro VGO series, and VG1 series. All three monitors come with features like Radeon FreeSync, Blue light technology, and a 144Hz refresh rate panel. 

Pricing & Availability:

Acer’s latest gaming laptops and monitors (except Nitro Stream) are available for purchase on Acer’s e-store website and Acer malls. Coming to the pricing, the Predator Triton 900 and 500 starts at Rs 1,65,999. The Helios 300 15 and 17-inch laptops are priced at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,14,999 respectively. The Helios 700 17-inch carries a price tag of Rs 2,49,999 and will go on sale starting from mid-September. The Nitro 5 and Nitro 7 will set you back to Rs 59,999 and Rs 84,999 respectively. The price of Acer monitors starts from Rs 7,999.
